Franklin County (North Carolina) with embossed stamp Warren County
You are hereby commanded to take the body of
Joseph Hawkins
if to be found in your county and him safely keep til you cause to be made the sum of forty dollars which lately in our court of pleas - held for the county - at the court house in Warrenton was imposed on said Hawkins as a fine for failing to return an execution November Court 1821 in favor of Edmd. Mayfield against Daniel B Allen besides the fine of five dollars 23/c for cost and charges in said - whereof Jos Hawkins is liable. And have you the monies besides your own for this service at our next court of pleas-- to be held for said County on the 4 Monday in November next.....

(1792-1875) born in Warren North Carolina, married Catherine Dye (1768-1822) He was a son of Abraham Mayfield (1728-1808) and Mary Ann Polly White (1720-1800).
Caswell Drake
, was a Methodist minister and also served as Warren County Clerk of court from 1819-1833 was born February 18, 1776 in North Carolina to Edmund (1731-1803) and Mary "Polly" Mann Drake (1745-1792) Caswell married Mourning Drake (1772-1841) and he died in 1860. {he married a cousin}
Edmund was the son of Richard and Margaret Drake of Isle of Wight Virginia. Edmund served in the Revolutionary War and in the 1790 census had a large household of 13 whites and 13 slaves..
