all articles are ORIGINAL and COMPLETE* and LOADED with WONDERFULLY DETAILED illustrations/photos/etchings! (and not all are shown... just too many!... I counted over 40!)
these make not only for a very interesting historical read! but wonderful subject matter for altered arts/paper crafts/junk or travel journals, etc!!
each carefully removed from magazines dating from 1899
pages are approx. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2"
in overall VERY NICE to EXCELLENT condition for being WELL OVER 100 years old! - some may have minor edge tears, creased corners or discoloration marks typical of old paper items

- July 1899 - 13pgs with 13 LOVELY illustrations/etchings of picturesque scenes of the morning activities from 'back in the day'... bicycling, the news stand, Washington market, the ferries, crossing Brooklyn bridge, flower vendor, ice wagon, etc!

"A Midsummer Afternoon in New York"
- Aug 1899 - 16pgs each with an illustration continuing on the day in New York... park scenes, strolling, on the pier, at the track, carriage ride, Madison square, etc...
3)
"A Summer Evening in New York"
- Sept 1899 - 15pgs* with 13 additional illustrations/etchings wrapping up the day in New York...romantic boat rides, garden dining, casino, fireworks at Manhattan beach, Chinatown, tenement rooftop cityscape views, etc! (*note, the first page is a photocopy as I needed the reverse side of the original to complete another article, sorry!)
