Description
Antique 1888 Avertisement Calender Steel Engraving Michigan Store. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class. This is a museum quality item as far as I'm concerned. It is a steel engraving done by John A. Lowell in Boston #509A, depicting a rightly outfitted boy fishing. This is an advertisement for L. C. Webb the live clothier of Mason, Michigan. It is a Happy New Year greeting with a sales pitch "To the rich and the poor, to the large and the small; If you will come and see me, I will clothe you all". It has the full year. It measures 6 3/5" by 3 1/2". The corners are slightly bent on the backing, very slight. The right corner on January is bent. There is some yellowing, appropriate for an antique. There are also some pencil marks upper left edge. It isn't mint, nor should it be, it's as close as you will find to it age for age. It is very likely a one of a kind item. See pics and make your best decision based on them and my description.
