(in case you need to clear the ram.)   Also, there good to just have around (in case and you will some day have to replace your CPU battery) to clear your CPU to factory settings.  This  microchip EPROM works on S-PLUS machines: slant/upright (double diamond, red white blue, haywire, 5X pay etc.) that require a clear chip when you get error codes that you can not clear with the reset key or when you change the battery) - if you own an IGT S-PLUS -you need this chip.  Easy to use: insert chip in the game chip socket of cpu, power the machine on and

With this chip there is no need to change your jumper settings like some other ones for sale!
Also, check my other auctions if you have a Bill Validator-Acceptor  (BV) or SP1160 eprom before ordering as you will need a SET15 BV enable chip and/or a different game (SPxxxx) eprom)!  Also, in rare occasions, the EEPROM located on your Mother board might get corrupted and you will need a new EEPROM.
