    Description

Lot of 4 Southern Illinois County maps from early 1870's.  These maps were published by Warner, Higgins & Beers.  From 1876 and later during this period, the maps I have seen were published by Warner & Beers.  Photo 1 shows a map with Washington, Perry, Randolph, St. Clair and Monroe Counties.  Photo 2 shows Wayne, Jefferson, Franklin, Hamilton and White Counties.  Photo 3 shows Saline, Gallatin, Hardin, Pope and Massac Counties.  Photo 4 shows Jackson, Union, Williamson, Johnson, Alexander and Pulaski Counties. These maps are good for research on early railroad lines and also show creeks and rivers.  The edges of these maps are very brittle but the maps themselves are in good shape.  They will be shipped in a large flat cardboard container.
