    Description

    Vintage 1939 Official Highway map of Alabama. 8.5" x  5.5" folded. 21.5" x 34.5" unfolded. Absolutely no damage..No stains, rips or discoloration. Amazing condition for being 82 years old. I have owned this map since the 1980's (original owner) and has been kept in a zip lock bag in the closet. I worked for the Ala. Highway Dept. (ALDOT) and was told years ago by archaeologist who I worked with that the Dept. of Archives and History was cleaning out their basement storage and this map was among the many many boxes of similar items being discarded.
