    Description

    Vintage Coal Mining Miner Shanty Clothing Hanger Hook.  Hook would be hanging from the ceiling in a work shanty by a chain or rope, and hoisted up with the miner’s street clothes when they went to work in the mine. Coal dust is very fine and hard to clean, so unless it was wash day, they would leave their work clothes at the shanty on the hook. Some age surface light rust and wear.
