Vintage MSA Comfo-Cap Low Vein Miners Hard Hat & Peltor Ear Protectors, stickers!
CONDITION:
This hat is in as-found condition, which I take to mean 'straight out of the mine.'  Scuffs, scratches and scrapes, showing that this hat has worked hard and done it's job!  I didn't even wipe it off....  still has dust and dirt in place.
The hat has a pair of attached Peltor  ear protectors, 3 mining related stickers and the insert inside.  There are also 5 strips of green tape on the hat, which most certainly identified the wearer's duties, team or skill level.
If you want a perfectly clean, pristine hat to sit on a pretty shelf... this ain't it.  This one looks like it was worn into the mountain yesterday, brought home and is sitting ready to go again!  I did not clean any of the dirt off...  left it in place as a sign of respect to those who've made and sometimes lost their lives digging rock out of the ground.
Structurally, the hat is in good shape with no cracks or breaks in the plastic.  The Peltor Ear protectors are a little more scratched and dirty than the hat itself and I can't guarantee how effective they'd be.

There's a UMWA (United Mine Workers of America) with miner logo.
