Ferrosilicon was used on a massive scale to create hydrogen and power german Zeppelins during World War I. It is easy to transport and safe to handle by untrained personnel, only releasing hydrogen when treated with strong base. Example of using - see historical photograph.
This Ferrosilicon was found at the joint German and Austrian-Hungarian Airships base. Found at such historical place as: Kerensky Offensive, 1917 (Episode: Tarnopol Catastrophe)
